Intelligence services examining new ISIL video

UK security and intelligence services are examining a new video released by ISIL which features a man and a boy with British accents.

The ten minute video purportedly shows the murder of five people who are accused of being UK spies, although the footage has not yet been verified. The man with a British accent directly addresses Prime Minister David Cameron, referring to him as an ‘imbecile’.

The video mocks the impact of RAF airstrikes, claiming the West cannot win the war against ISIL, and ends with a young boy, who also speaks with a seemingly British accent, warning that ISIL will kill non-believers in the West.

The UK Foreign Office has confirmed that it is aware of the video and is examining its contents, with authorities carrying out voice-print analysis to try and match the man’s voice against individuals known to have travelled to Syria.
