UK to supply further military equipment to Kurdish fighters tackling ISIL

The further supply of equipment comes at the request of the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) and was announced by Defence Secretary Michael Fallon on 22 June in a written ministerial statement.

The UK government has already gifted nearly half a million rounds of ammunition, heavy machine guns and 1000 counter-IED VALLON detectors.
